Chris Marvin | Board Member
Chris Marvin served for seven years as a U.S. Army officer and Black Hawk helicopter pilot and is a combat-wounded veteran of the war in Afghanistan. His post-military career has focused on engaging veteran voices on important social issues like gun violence prevention, public lands advocacy, and civic engagement. He is a prolific writer and contributed to The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, MSNBC, Newsweek, USA Today, National Public Radio, and Backpacker Magazine. His military awards include the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Air Medal. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is based in Honolulu.
