Support the Volunteers on Midway—with a match expiring December 31, 2025 for Memberships & Donations

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of Friends of Midway Atoll board member Helen, every new membership and donation is being matched dollar-for-dollar through December 31, 2025 up to $10,000.  If you’ve ever considered becoming a member—or renewing your support—now is the moment to make your contribution go twice as far. As of today, our community has already raised more than $5,000 toward the $10,000 matching goal, helping ensure vital conservation work at Kuaihelani (Midway Atoll) continues uninterrupted.

The new volunteer crew arrived in September. From left to right: Gianna Arcuri, Ayla Liss, Molly Henling, Katie Hearther, and Sophie Elliott. Molly Henling is the crew lead for the volunteers.

Women Leading Conservation—Midway’s All-Women Volunteer Team

We are happy to introduce the newest group of 6-month volunteers who arrived on Midway in September. Their dedication and hard work is evident, as one of their first tasks occured when they needed to step in on behalf of staff and to work on a critical case of botulism. Read our blog about the ongoing work of volunteers returning native plants to Midway, including a video at the bottom of the blog!

Your generosity helps Midway…

  • Provide $1,000 stipends for each six-month volunteer who contributes their time, energy, and expertise in often demanding field conditions.
  • Continue to bring bird counters for the annual seabird population monitoring
  • Fund the ongoing live camera streaming from Midway

…and much more!

You can also show your appreciation for this work by making an additional donation during the matching period. Every dollar given now has twice the impact for Midway’s wildlife—helping give seabirds and their island home a fighting chance to thrive amid growing environmental pressures.

Join us, double your impact, and stand with Midway.
